Great use of negative space here. I really like that you mirrored the colors in the photos. It allows the photos to speak for themselves. This is one of those deceptive "simple" layouts. It strikes you that way at first, but there's nothing simplistic about it.

How cool that they take such nice photos for grandparents day! I wish my kids' school would do that on their grandparents day! Fabulous layout! I love all the painty details you've added and that you have the photos on one side and the cool title work on the opposite!
