today is the anniversary of our second grandchild being born still. i always scrap something in his memory so i used the "doll" challenge to do my scrapping today. very emotional day for me and scrapping always helps.
I am sorry for your loss, and look at your amazing page ,and feel love for the people around you. I like that you turned the doll into a boy,and gave him a cap and a teddy.
I'm not sure where to start... it hurts so so much that still birth still happens in a society that is technologically advanced enough to prevent.... it pains me that you are one who has to suffer as I know by experience that our children's hurting hurt more than our own hurt...so I can imagine only the pain you feel.... It is really really frustrating and painful, but at the same time, I love the power of scrapbooking of turning ugly things into beautiful pages, and in this case even more so as you made an effort beyond usual to get this done, and if you were able to put this into the page, I feel a bit less useless, a bit less frustrated that at least, even if in a minimum way, can help.
I thought a lot about you and was going to come find you to message you, I'm sure you must know about this, but just in case...I got a request from a Mother of Still Born to sign a petition for every pregnant woman to have a Dopplers scan...which funnily enough is what I need done for my kidneys, she explained that is not given to pregnant women because the cost is high, but she also explains how still birth could have been prevented in her case, if only she had had a Dopplers scan , which helps to detected the problem and there are high chances of fixing it so no child will be still born....
The page is beautiful, in that very hurtful but beautiful way...Love how you transformed the doll into a boy, the way you jour naled, the ripped paper, everything speaks loud even before I read the journaling
Thank you so much for playing with us!!!!
