I have plushie Hoops and Yoyo sitting on my desk at work, to make it a little more cheerful in my cube. They are guarding my bowl of Lifesaver Wintergreen mints. I once worked with a contractor who tossed in a couple of pennies and said, "There, I've given you my two cents." I eventually replaced those pennies with two shiny ones, because it still amuses me to see them every time I refill it.
