Love how you used the big photo in the background with the series of smaller ones! I also love how everyone seems to be pitching in to help :) Great use of the word art and word strips! Love it all!

I love layouts with everyday photos. Like the background with the smaller photos lined up vertically. Your yard looks gigantic, I am envious.

@Rikki Thanks for the comment. It's so hard to remember to take the everyday photos. I'm always in awe of the pocket scrappers who can do that! We just moved in January from a small city lot with a big house to a 4-acre property with a small house. It has been our dream for years and I'm still pinching myself that we managed it! Now I have to learn how to use a riding lawnmower (ordered but we don't have it yet), though the "lawn" is actually very mossy and weedy. I have to learn about deer-proof plants, too. The amount of yard work is incredible, but we're all (dogs included) loving it.

@jaharvey Deer wandering across your yard? It gets better and better. Well, I have to admit I wouldn't be too keen on the yard work, but I sure would enjoy hanging out there. We only have a balcony and I'm not even a very good caretaker of potted plants. Don't ask about the garden allotment we once had. Letters from the management about taking better care were not uncommon, :-). But if it is your own property nobody cares what you do on it, which is a plus.
I'm looking forward to seeing more layouts about it. Documenting what you do and how it evolves would be such fun!

@Rikki I've tried growing herbs in pots with zero success. I'm crossing my fingers that I will find outdoor plants to be easier! Part of what I love about having moved here is that if my yard is weedy or ripped up by dogs running on it, it doesn't matter, since my neighbours will never see it. No one will know if I bomb at gardening either! Today I put down some EZ Seed grass seed — we'll see if it takes root. I also transferred a few raspberry plants from a friend into pots to go on my son's porch (the deer won't go there). I'll scrap my successes (& maybe my failures, too) over the summer. Keep watch! :agree

That is a great game of Tug of War! :giggle I love the pictures and how you blended them in! I hope the riding lawn mower learning went well, and your growing plants goes better than the potted ones! Just lovely and congrats!

This is amazing! How nice of the dogs to "help" clean up the yard! Love the big photo for a background and then the extra photos overtop. Great design!
