September 19, 2017 Mendenhall Glacier
While in Juneau we went to see the Glacier. You loved looking at all the ice! The binoculars were a hit for you to see the different curves and colors up close. “It's so dirty!” “Why is it blue?” “Where does the water go when it melts?” Homeschooling at a glacier was an adventure, and you were all in! We checked out the visitor's center to answer some of your questions. The day was beautiful and you were a willing student exploring all over the area. I had a lovely time with you.
