I believe in miracles because I am alive today. This is me currently full of love and determination that reflect a strong woman of faith. In 2008, I was a quadriplegic in a coma, multiple diseases, with a dire prognosis of weeks. I spent over two-years in hospitals with intervening nursing home for physical and occupational therapies. It is still vital for me to receive my IVIG infusions to treat my autoimmune diseases, although no longer taking kemo. This 84 1/2 years of age child-of-God has survived.
I keep this gospel hymn The Broken Vessel with me throughout my entire medical journey. This hymn is adapted from Bible verse Isaiah 64 recorded by Andraé Edward Crouch.
“And, I was that broken vessel that no one thought was any good . . . .” I say Lord, you're the potter, and I am the clay. Make me over again, today.
