2013 week 1

"week one and already this year has proven to be a year to remember. it started off well enough, with lazy days and puppy snuggles. we played in the snow and packed away Christmas decorations. The kids played with Christmas gifts - legos, hex bugs & DS games, & we spent time with friends. Then on Friday evening, I got a call from Dad telling me Nancy had passed away. There are no words to describe that experience, really. On Sat morning, I got up and drove to Cambridge to be with him. I stayed Saturday night & drove home Sunday. On Tuesday school started up again, and life resumed as normal. But it will never be the same again. Sadly, my reality - my Dad's reality - our kids' reality, will no longer include conversations or visits with Nancy. I'll never again hear her voice or laugh with her. I will miss her immensely."
