@FarrahJobling not to totally hijack your comment section, but what did you think of Grist Mill Road? I stopped reading it after the first, like, 10 pages. I think having a tween daughter made it too tough to read that opening chapter. OMG: this could be your title page for an album and then you could scrap a page for each book and you could have a Book Challenge album!
@FarrahJobling that makes me feel better about stopping it! It used to bug me to stop reading books (like you mentioned), but I just couldn't read that. And it got good reviews so I was kind of bummed.
@FarrahJobling I've heard the Showtime limited series was good, but I'm going to say this and I'm worried no one will look at me the same, but here goes...I didn't even try to read Sharp Objects because I didn't like Gone Girl. I read maybe 2 chapters and just gave up. (Wow, we're really bringing up the books I have NOT read. Maybe I should scrap those? ) Oh, but if you like psychological thrillers/murder mystery/etc, my mom recommended The Couple Next Door to me. I skimmed it (I guessed a few "surprises," so I got bored lol), but it wasn't half bad. Def. better than Grist Mill Road and what I read of Gone Girl.
@Tree City I can't watch the show...I'd never look at Amy Adams the same. LOL I did like Gone Girl and Dark Places and I also really like The couple next door too! I LOVE the psychological thrillers. The Wife between us was also excellent as was Behind Closed Doors.
