Roupa Velha means old clothes, which was what Sarita was parading in the living room with.... we had just gotten a bunch of old clothes from my cousins that my mum sent...not sure we can call that "old" these are very wealthy women who buy designer, extremely expensive stuff, use it well enough but they look after them and they know we will get a lot of use still.... which we did, The pink see through shirt and the white vest under were from my cousin's wife Graciela, both from a shop in Rio Called Krishna- Leblon. The gold silk skirt was a hand me down from a Mexican friend of mine who left England to go back, I wore it for at least years before passing it to Sarita for a show she was gonna be in with the dance group she was performing with, Raices Latinas
