"1949. That’s when Scott’s great uncle Arrell purchased this truck. And he kept it for almost fifty years. As Arrell got older, he wasn’t able to keep the truck in good shape anymore and he decided to sell it, he was adamant that it remain in the family so Scott’s brother Brian purchased it. But he didn’t have the time to restore it and it sat for a few more years. Eventually, Brian decided to sell it to Scott, again keeping the truck in the family. It even still included the original title! Arrell passed away shortly after, but he told Scott how happy he was to know that the truck was in good hands. Using a new Dodge truck to tow a vintage Dodge truck across 4 states also garnered some smiles and conversations with strangers along the way too. One day, hopefully it will be completely restored and passed on to the next generation to treasure."
