Jason and Katie are both special. The first day Jason picked up a bass clarinet his teacher asked the other band instructor “Can you say prodigy?” And Katie? As tiny as she is her main instrument is slide trombone. And the year before this she marched TUBA and ran rings around the much bigger boys in the bass section! It’s really unsurprising that they were joint Drum Majors this year - or that the band took top honors at the Festival of Champions under their guidance and care.
