I was captivated by the paper used in Margaret's layout. Once again, I found that I'd bought the papers but never used them. (sigh) Now was the time!

LOL! I do that all the time, Maureen! And what LOVELY papers they are! Love the masking on the photo and the addition of the gold star to the tree. That background paper is perfect!
 
Gorgeous page Maureen and a wonderful lift. I like how you used the background paper and then masked in that beautiful photo of the snowy fir tree from your yard and that add of the gorgeous gold glittering star is wonderful! Thanks for playing along with the challenge!
 
Actually that 'fir' tree is actually a pin oak and the other very heavy branch is a bamboo branch plus a clothesline! It was a very heavy snow that we rarely get but gorgeous for a couple hours. Fortunately the temps went about 10°s above freezing later that day.
