This page features a shot I took of an 'not normal' weekday breakfast of mine. However, the image did not show up on my phone while taking it so I just ate and later took a photo of the empty bowl and plate. In the end, both images were 'taken' and synched to my iMac. So I thought I might do a triptych for my PL. Then this challenge came up!
I cropped the large image, imho the focal point, and gave it a 50pt outside stroke. I cropped the 'empty' smaller image a bit and placed it on the right corner, with a 25pt stroke. (This is one of my favorite flows..very logical to me.) I then added the title/large text and debated on leaving the white background. Nope. So...
I added a paper from the Hester kit and made that a Linear Burn blend at 35% which gave me the idea of fading leaves being gone soon too. Next was the paint spatter and the leaf and leaf button. Finally I put two copies of the doily under the large photo and up against the small one. The smaller photo was clipped to the Hester leaf paper which easily made the photo more transparent. Added shadows and a smaller line of journaling & date.
Then I selected all the layers above a Hester dark background paper and with CMD T reduced that batch to 95% so the dark would be just a border.
