I was inspired by a window sticker I saw on a car as I was leaving the Apple store yesterday. The tree was made using a scruffy font to spell California. This was REALLY fun. Took way more time than I normally spend on an artsy page!
Font for Washington: Old Printing Press
Tree Trunk: Filter>Render>Tree
I made clouds with the Adobe Custom Shape tool, then clipped SBasic_HighCool_s09 paper to them.
BG: rjefferies-youaremagical-miscpaperie-19 with rjefferies-youaremagical-pocketart8 on top and blended
Raindrops are made withrjefferies-idomyownthing-mmartistry-marks02, blended into the background
The bottom edge is Internet-ClipArtLibrary with SBasic_HighCool_s05 clipped over it
I clipped and blended SBasic_HighCool_s05 over the Washington letters that form the tree branches
I clipped and blended rjefferies-aquarelle-miscpp-14 over rjefferies-shinebright-ep-stamp02 to make the overhanging branches at the top left and right
Journaling font: Adler
I am so glad you are having fun! That makes my happy!
Where to even begin...first, that your work of art makes me miss WA that much more. I was stationed at Fort Lewis some years back. How blessed am I? I can see Seattle, Tacoma, Lake Wood, Puyallup, Spanaway and Olympia in my head right now. I can remember when it rained, and rained, then the winds came. And what a mess it made...how the evergreens came down. Almost looked like world-war-III. The trees crashed upon homes and cars, across road ways. Ha! I guess thats what your Washington Tree reminds me of (sorry). But seriously, even that is fond memory of WA, in its own weird way.
LOL...thankfully, The Big Storm usually only comes once a year...often around Thanksgiving so that people have power outages and can't cook the turkey indoors! Yes, Washington is a LOT different than Texas! (My only big memory is when DH was at Ft. Sam Houston for officer training, and we lived in a wonderful apartment complex off post for a few months. Loved the River Walk. This was in the early 70s).
