Journaling:
We really enjoy our annual Christmas traditions including taking our annual Christmas photo at the botanical conservatory's Christmas display and checking out the creativity at the Festival of Gingerbread. We try to go during the week when less people are around, for our health and because it makes taking our photos much easier. The conservatory's Christmas display is always so beautiful; it always has so many beautiful spots for taking photos. This year the theme was "Happy Smallidays!" based on a book about slowing down & enjoying the little moments during the holidays. The floral displays there are always amazing; the little vignettes from the book were so cute. But the little mouse's footprints on the paths really caught my attention. They made me think about the path we're on in our lives. We've had so many things to deal with in the past year, health issues, church issues, etc. It helps to take some time away from everything to get some perspective. Two of the photos I took that day remind me of the real reason for the season, God's Most Precious Gift of His Son and that He is the Light of the World. God's presence is with us each and every day of our lives. Being reminded of that blessing helps regain my equilibrium & better deal with daily blessings & trials.
Ohh I love this. We all need reminders about what is truly important, and your page is doing just that for me personally. I love that you shared your thoughts in this challenge!
