Here in the Northeast we still have a bit of summer left to enjoy, but we are just starting to get a hint of the cooler weather lurking around the corner. The kids are almost back to school (after Labor Day for us!) and things are starting to wind down and transition from lazy days of summer to schedules & structure. For us, this means more dinners around the family table. It also is a time when the cooler temperatures of fall allow me to turn my oven on again and serve up lots of comfort food for my family. Speaking of comfort food and family dinners gathered around the table, Lynne-Marie has a gorgeous set of Bon Appetit products on sale today, some old, some new ... let's have a look. The Bon Appetit bundle is classic, elegant and perfect for scrapping family meals and delicious food, whether you make it yourself or are enjoying time eating out with family or friends. … [Read more...]
Simply Hybrid: Journaling Cards
Hi, everyone! Sarah here with another installment of Simply Hybrid. This month I'm going to show you a few different steps I added to a journaling card for one of my Snap! Album pages. This page is about getting stuff done and the little window of optimism I have every morning. Real Life in Pockets: Domesticated by Just Jaimee and Mommyish was the perfect kit for capturing this part of my every day.For this first card I just used the card as is and added my journaling on the computer. I find that when I have a lot to say I can fit more in by using a font. I love that I have this Heather Joyce font of my handwriting.Next I just added a couple of arrows, the red stamped one I added digitally, the yellow one I printed, cut out and added to the card after it was printed. For this one I added a couple of banners to the top right corner. The orange one I used as … [Read more...]

Hybrid Tutorial – Printable Treat Bags
Fourth of July is just around the corner! For those of us who are Americans this is a time we celebrate our patriotism for our country. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for this holiday because my grandpa was in the army during WWII. He was the type of man who cried when we sang patriotic songs or when the flag was presented at an event we were attending. When he was alive he loved to see me dress my kiddos up in red, white, and blue for the holiday. Even though my grandpa isn't alive anymore I try and do things for the Fourth of July that I think would bring a smile to his face. This year I have a few little goodies to give my girls to help them enjoy some the activities we will be doing on the Fourth. I wanted to make something nice for their goodies to be wrapped in before they received them. I came up with the idea to create a printable treat bag for these goodies, and … [Read more...]
