I've got a few really great layouts this month, I can't wait to share them with you. This layout by lilgik is so eye-catching in it's use of the diagonal split of the background. I also live the word strips, and how the photo isn't centered on the layout, it adds a lot of movement to the page. The photos on this layout by yzerbear19 are the real star, so cute and happy. I love the repetition of the cloud paper and elements on the page, as well as the pops of yellow. They really draw the eye into the main part of the page. It's that time once again: it's time for Mobile Highlights! That's right, I've been surfing around Instagram and found some of the best layouts that are tagged with the Lilypad's hashtag - #the_lilypad. Today I want to spotlight those special layouts for all of you!First up is this layout by katechris05. The composition of this layout is great. The black and white photos make the colors look awesome, but it was one little detail that caught my eye: notice how the banner goes on top of the title work. I thought that was an interesting choice, and helps to make the journaling stand out a bit more. Had the title work been over the banner, it would have taken away from the journaling.Ok, so this layout by notoriaus is just plain AWESOME SAUCE! I love the visual combination of images and the use of the clouds. Definitely a layout that caught my eye almost right … [Read more...]

It is the perfect bold statement to go with the layout by afairlyfabulouslife. I love the artistic look of this page with all of the sketches and paint. The composition is great too...everything moves across the page.This. This is how you do white space. The white background on this layout by cheyang09 plays so nicely with the photo, and really creates the snowy winter feel. The pops of color from … [Read more...]
