Hey there Lilypad peeps!! It's katrinahunt, aka Katrina, here today to share something different on the blog. Well, at least for me! I have a hybrid process video share. In my mind all the digital scrappers can figure out how to hybrid scrap if they want, but not all traditional scrappers know the joy of hybrid or how to even start. I get so excited about hybrid and I want to share that excitement with other scrappers! In the layout above I used the FiddleDeeDee Designs template kit "Fun in the Sun", along with the Becca Bonneville kit "Let's Get Lost."I go thru the steps of how I start, decide what to print, and how I use the print and cut feature in Silhouette Studio. So, if you are curious about how I approach hybrid, you can check it out in the video below! And Cheryl from FiddleDeeDee Designs did a digital process video along with me! And here is hers! … [Read more...]
Hybrid Altered Thread Spool
Hey scrappy peeps!! It's Katrina, aka katrinahunt13, on the blog here today to share a little altered hybrid project for you! I love little things that are quick to alter and use a a decoration or even just a fun pick me up for my lost mojo. Sometimes, doing something just a little different will get those creative juices flowing in the right direction.I had a wooden spool that was bare and decided it would be perfect to fit up for today's post. I have done these in the past and I STILL have them sitting around with pictures stuck in them!I used the new Create Crate Monthly Add-On by Becca Bonneville that hit the shop on Friday. You can find that kit HERE. There was something about the little bunnies in the kit that called to me and then I saw the card and knew it was perfect for this project!Start by measuring the circumference of your spool by just using a piece … [Read more...]

You Don’t Need Fancy Equipment for Hybrid!!
Hey pad fans! It's Katrina, aka katrinahunt13, today to talk to you about hybrid. Now, I know some of you digital gurus are set on your digital layouts and not playing with paper! This post is for those that maybe switched to digital scrapping from paper scrapping, maybe you want to sniff some glue (I don't judge!), or it could be you just need to feel the paper and create with it. This post is for you. You don't need a wide format printer! Nope, you can do 8.5 x 11 or 12 x 12 without that wide format printer that I use all the time! For the layout I am sharing today, I actually used scraps that I had left over from a previous layout. I printed the Becca Bonneville "Friends Across the Miles" mini kit for another layout that I wanted to do. So, I cut some cardstock down to 8.5 x 11 and used that as my starting point. My printer will print borderless, but I know … [Read more...]
Using Cut Outs As A Mask For Hybrid
Hey there! Katrina, aka katrinahunt13, sharing another hybrid layout with you. I am going to show you how you can use cut outs that you see in the shop for getting artsy on a hybrid layout. Now, I am the first to admit, I love "stuff" on my pages, but I don't go toward the artsy side. After doing this layout, I think I may try it more!I dove into the BYOC for February for this layout. I used the following kits: Hedge Hugs | Bella Gypsy Happy Hearts | Becca Bonneville Olive You Paper, Elements | Allison Pennington and finally Love Cut Outs | Scrapping With Liz. I started by cutting out the LOVE file from my Cameo. After doing this, I realized that I am not limited by "what size the mask or stencil is that I bought" and I can make these any size I want!! How fun is that! I figured out where I wanted the cut out on my page and then used some removable tape to … [Read more...]
