Hey there, it’s Heather Greenwood aka heathergw. Did you see the new Mixed Media Monthly release this weekend yet? I say this every month but this one is my FAVE! I love maps and vintage ephemera and might be a little addicted to anything travel related. I had fun playing with the subscription kit and wanted to share with you how I created this art journal page.
Watch me put together this page:
Isn’t this kit great? You can tell a few times in the video I was totally hesitating on what to use. I wanted to use it all, it’s so GORGEOUS!
Did you know that you get so much more when you subscribe? We have tutorials and challenges every month and I will be sharing tutorials on some fun techniques you can do including some of the ones I did in the video above. I can’t wait to share with you guys some fun things you can do with the Mixed Media Monthly kits, and not just art journaling pages.
I also will be hosting a monthly technique challenge and can’t wait to share those techniques with you each month. The designers also host a 3 word challenge with goes with the theme of the kit. I think this is a favorite challenge for everyone because the words fit so perfectly with the theme of the kit which makes it easy!
We would really love to have you join us in the private subscribers forum and join in the fun. Hope to see you there!

Is there a way to slow down the video?
Why do you bring in everything as a smart object?
Heather Greenwood says
Lynda, no there is not a way to slow down the video, I needed to keep the video to a certain time standard. I bring everything in as a smart object because I can transform the object without losing quality, since I print out my pages, quality is important to me.
