Hey scrappers,
I’m here today with a quick tip for using all those wonderful alphas for scatters on your layouts. Yep, I said using alphas for scatters!
Let’s say the kit you’re using doesn’t have a scatter, or you want something with a different look. No worries, just open an alpha and pick a letter, number or punctuation mark to use for your scatter. Size down accordingly and place on your layout. You can even use the scatter from a template as a guide to place the alpha pieces for your scatter.
Here are some examples of layouts where quick scatters made from alphas are used.
I used the period (resized to 70%) and the grave accent (resized to 50%) in different colors from Meet Cute: Glitterbets. I also used the scatter from the From the Heart No 5 templates as a guide to make my quick scatter. The hashtag, at sign, tilde, plus sign, X and O would also be good alpha candidates for a quick scatter.
Barbara (Sokee) used the period from the outline glitter alpha included with the Meet Cute: The Kit for her scatter on this layout.
So the next time you don’t have a scatter for your layout, don’t forget to reach for all those wonderful alphas available in The Lilypad store to make a quick scatter.
BTW: The Meet Cute: the kit with alpha and the Meet Cute: Glitterbets alpha add-on (8 colors) used in the examples are NEW this weekend and ON SALE… you’re welcome! *wink, YAY!

Now why didn’t I think of that… hehehe. I look at the scatters on the template and try to find something to work and it doesn’t… now I have an extra resource to use. Thanks for the great tip.
