Hello! Did you know that getting creative and messy can be so much fun?! I really do enjoy it and had a blast making a recent project that I would like to share with you. I love playing with paints and inks and making my own background papers, journaling cards and elements. Using digital scrapbooking products really is a great way to instantly have paper elements for crafting projects and they are so customizable.
For this project, I decided to make an accordion album and fill it with mixed media papers, tags, journaling cards and element that could be easily reached for when scrapbooking, making a traveler’s notebook, planner pages, or other traditional paper crafting projects. It was so much fun! I created the accordion album with watercolor paper that I painted, folded and stitched, and then filled each pocket with an envelope that contained ephemera created from digital elements, inks, stamps, and paint. Every bit of this project can be used to decorate more pages and projects!
Here is what I created and I hope it inspires you to get a bit messy and use your digital scrapbooking supplies to try some hybrid paper crafting.
And this is what I created to fill the envelopes and pockets:
This project utilized several different digital kits, all which mix and match so well together! Some of the kits I used include:
Designed by Soco: Everyday Words, Serendipity, and Silver Linings
Sahin Designs: Fete and Us
Allison Pennington: Autumn Feelings and Fleur
Just Jaimee: Real Life Storyteller Feb 21 and Storyteller Snippet Labels feb 21
Paislee Press: Yes
Memory Pockets Monthly: Arise and Foundation 2021
Happy Creating!

AMAZING accordion book! You did a fantastic job AND you’ve inspired me. I forget that it’s okay to make a mess– and that it can be fun– so I put off doing it. Thanks for reminding me of how much I love the physical part of scrapbooking/journaling (AND gift-giving!) Cheers!
