May Challenges Are Here!

Good morning everyone!  Karen here, and in case you missed them in the forum, I’m here to tell you about the new challenges for May.  Once again there are 7 challenges for this month and you have until May 31st to complete them.   I have always loved doing the challenges here because they give me just the push I need to do new pages that are a bit different from my usual routine, so I don’t get stuck in a rut!  Also, you will be rewarded handsomely if you participate in our challenges!  You can earn up to a 30% off coupon just for doing what you love anyway… scrapping!  Here are the details:  2 challenges = 10% off, 4 challenges = 20% off and 6 challenges = 30% off! On top of those fabulous rewards, if you finish all 7 challenges you will be entered for a chance to win a guest spot on the Creative Team. That means you could be a Polly for a month!   So here are the 7 new challenges for the month of May:

1.  Random Challenge:  Renee (renee82) is hosting this month’s Random challenge and she pushing you to dust off some older pictures.  She wants you to find a picture or pictures from 3-5 years ago and scrap with those.  When you complete your page, post it in the Random Challenge Gallery.  Here is a great sample page from Renee:

2.  Journaling Challenge:   Heather (talktoheather) is your host for this month’s journaling challenge.   Heather is taking a queue from social media like texting and twitter and wants you to be concise!  You must limit your journaling to 140 characters.  Your completed pages should be posted in the Journaling Challenge Gallery.  Here is a sample by Heather:

3.  Scraplift Challenge:   Heather (HeatherB) is the host for May’s Scraplift Challenge.  She chose the very talented Barb Hogan’s (bho) gallery to scraplift.  Barb’s TLP gallery is HERE and her main gallery is HERE.   Your lifted pages should be posted to the Scraplift Challenge Gallery.  Here is a page that Heather chose to lift:

4.  One Word Challenge:  Amanda (MandaKay) is hosting the One Word Challenge this month and has chosen the word Mother.  Since Mother’s Day is in May in the United States, I thought that was very appropriate.  When you complete your pages for this challenge, please post them in the One Word Challenge Gallery.  Here is a sample page from Amanda:

5.  Product Challenge:   I (Karen) am lucky enough to get to host this month’s Product Challenge.  I chose attachments as the product you must use this month.  Make sure your pieces are stuck down with staples, tape, buttons or stitches, etc.  Your pages using attachments should be posted in the Product Challenge Gallery.  Here is a sample page I made:

6.  Template Challenge:   The Template Challenge for May is hosted by Dana.  Amy Martin made us another wonderful free template to use for this month’s challenge.  Post your pages using this template in the Template Challenge Gallery.

7.  BYOC Challenge:   This Friday (May 4th) is BYOC release day for May.  Once again the designers here have left me in awe of their talents and this batch of products are ones that I know I will be using all summer long!  The BYOC Challenge will be posted HERE on Friday.  For this challenge you just need to use products from the new BYOC from at least 3 designers and your page must contain at least 90% from the BYOC.  Your LO can be posted to the BYOC Challenge Gallery.

You have until May 31th to complete these challenges.  There are a few notes to remember while doing pages for these challenges. Your pages must contain at least 75% TLP products and you must do a unique page for each challenge.  Do not combine one page for two challenges.  Once you complete your page, be sure to post it in the appropriate gallery and then back in the individual challenge thread too so we can leave you some love!  We also ask that you post all of your complete challenge pages in the THIS THREAD so we make sure to get you the correct coupon at the end of the month.  If you have any other questions about the challenges, see the Challenge Guidelines thread HERE! Have fun!

I can’t wait to see what everyone creates this month!   I’ll be back in a few weeks with another post on my favorite pages created for the challenges so far.  Maybe your page will be here on the blog.  Stay tuned.
