Make It Monday Foiled Card

Happy Monday! Can y’all believe it’s the last Monday of October?? How is this season going so fast?? Well, anyway Polly Robin here with another Make it Monday blog post and I’m going to show you how I made a foiled and water colored card. First, I combined two pngs from Memory Pocket Monthly Dwell collection. I actually wrote a title that was SUPPOSED to read “A little bird told me it’s your birthday”, but I actually printed off “A little bird told me it’s your birthrday”. Oops!! Don’t be like me, rather always spell check your work before printing!! Anyhoo, I decided to cut out the bird on the branch with a new card idea in mind. No sense in wasting anything!

Since I printed this using my toner printer, I was able to foil over the black print with some black foil and it turned out great:

Next, I used my watercolor pencils and colored in the bird and leaves. Then I added just a tiny bit of water to get that color soft and moving around:

After that, I added my stamped sentiment, matted the bird with black cardstock, adhered some gems to the front, and put the whole thing on a cardbase which I embossed with vines. Here is my finished card:

I love that I can use pngs and brushes from the MPM collections to make so many different cards. Well, that’s it for me. See you next month with another Make It Monday hybrid card.
