So yall – let’s get real. Life is filled with beautiful moments but also a few of those………not so shiny ones. Sometimes my albums are filled with page after page of all those Hallmark moments. You can see a wedding, many birthdays, babies, holidays and many happy moments. But I really want to do a better job of showing all the real stuff ya know?
Sometimes the pain behind a difficult moment is hard to think about. Here at TLP, we see page after page in the store of the gorgeous kits and fonts and we just can’t imagine pairing with a photo or story about something that was difficult.
I think the page below speaks for itself. This was my son’s homecoming a few years ago.
I’m just gonna leave this right here………

But………what if you have a really great story that is dying to be told but you don’t have a photo??
Well, that was my case with this story. My kids – – they all think it’s a riot.

Maybe we should think about our scrapbooks the same way we do life. Don’t just scrapbook the pretty shiny moments,
scrapbook the real ones. They will be treasured even more by those who know the real you.
Keepin’ it real yall!

Oh, that’s too funny. I have added stickers over my daughter’s ex-husband in her sister’s wedding album and a few other scrapbooks.

Good point and a great idea. I am wondering if the prom date has a sticker on her face in your album
or just for the blog post? teehee! Thanks for being real.

Its in my album – my son rolls his eyes and snorts at this – – all these years later. :)

I LOVE the prom date story! When my son’s first girlfriend broke his heart, I was still paper scrapbooking (long time ago). I may have not just thrown out some photos with her on them….I shredded them! Secretly I was glad they broke up!
