When my husband and I first were married, he begged me to make some Hairy Scary Spiders for Halloween. The recipe sounded weird to me so I politely declined. Year after year my husband requested them and I turned the request down. After ten years of requesting I finally gave in declaring that I was not going to touch the gross things! Upon finishing my husband and kids quickly gobbled the spiders up. With just a few left, my kids begged me to give the spiders a try. I tentatively ate one and was hooked! These spiders were delicious! The spiders have become a Halloween treat tradition in our family. I wanted to share this quick and simple recipe with you! Don’t be a scaredy cat like me, give them a try!

My recipe [from a former Grade 1 student] is for equal amounts of chocolate and b’scotch chips [6 oz each], 1/2 cup peanut butter and 2 cups mini marshmallows, then add 3 cups chow mein noodles. Great treat!!
