You would have to have been living under a rock these days to not know about all the hoopla surrounding the 2016 Presidential election. This crazy election caused me to think about interviewing #6 (my youngest) about what he would do if he were the Prez!
And how many times have we all heard in passing “If I were president, I would…”? Right? So, here’s your chance to jot down what your kid would do if they were commander in chief and leader of the free world. No pressure lol
-If you were president, what would you do?
-Are there any laws you would like to pass?
-what do you think is hard about being president?
-what kind of problems do you think the president has to fix right now?
-how would you help people?
-what kind of perks comes with being president?
I used Parade Days by Lynn Grieveson for this layout.
Doesn’t he look presidential?
You could either do a full interview like I did or you could have your child write it himself.
I’ve included a free president printable to use for this. I used Parade Days by Lynn Grieveson
and while this interview was about being president, I realized — I have forgotten about doing interviews with the kids on their birthdays every year like I used to. Man, what a slacker. I love doing these interviews because kids change their minds all the time and this helps focus in on where they are *at that moment.
I love capturing who they are at that very moment in time and it reminds them that they are special and have worth! So, no rules here sister. And you don’t have to wait til their birthday, do it now while you remember. Do I hear an amen on that one?!
Here’s a list of questions I thought were easy to implement –
– what is your favorite TV show?
-what is your favorite outfit?
-what makes you nervous?
-what is your favorite toy?
-what do you want to be when you grow up?
-what is your favorite color?
-where do you think you’ll go to college?
-what is your favorite song?
_what makes you happy?
-what is the last book you read?
-what country would you like to visit?
-who is your best friend?
-favorite restaurant?
-what do you like to eat for breakfast?
-who do you sit with at lunch?
-is there something you would like to learn how to do?
-what do you want for dinner on your birthday?
-what is your favorite thing to do with Dad?
-what is your favorite thing to do with Momma?

Can wait to see what you guys come up with!
