Mine is Consistent. I did good and I did not so good with different goals this year, even at different times with the same goal. So, this year is consistent. Consistent in my goals, and aspirations. Consistent habits. Consistentcy in what I'm doing.
My word for 2017 is going to be 'Focus' I spend to much time distracted from tasks, wasting time and not achieving what I set out to do. I am going to start by decluttering my office, EHD and home. Then hopefully I will be able to 'focus' on all the important things in life and the tasks I set out to do will be completed.
I had words in previous years, like 2011 & 2012 when I still managed a lot more... right now? our life is so un=predictable here....I think one word does not fit, maybe you stick to a mantra like" this too shall pass" LOL

Focus was my word for last year and since I didn't manage to do that too well, it probably should be my word for this year too!!! Either that or "Commit"
It's going to be a motto for me instead of a single word . . . I want to Be Present. My sister made me aware earlier this year while on vacation that I'm often not present in the moment. She is right. I want to work on this.

My daughter and I were just talking about this earlier today. We always pick a word, so we were mulling it over. I'm still undecided, but am narrowing it down. I'm glad to see so many others thinking about it as well!
Hmmm...been thinking about making a piece of jewelry with my word. But should it be ambitious or ambition? I need help here from all you native English speakers!!!!!
ambitious is more "active" - it's the word used to describe someone... she is ambitious. Ambition would be more of your goal... to "have ambition". It really depends on which speaks more to you, I think.
Still haven't quite decided what my word will be out of the three yet - all I know is I want to be more 'me' in 2017
ok so I am feeling a little selfish...so tired of doing things for others and not even a thanks just more demands and attitude...so for 2017 its going to be "all about me" if I don't like it...i am not doing it...if I want something I will get it....My health is yelling at me to start thinking about me so 2017 is ALL About Me!
I need a word that is to like duck's back, I want to let things roll off me, like water on a duck's back..tee hee..I am learning to not freak out, and be quiet and listen or take in before reacting...but need a word that encompasses all that!
@AnneofAlamo , maybe contemplate or evaluate? Or if you want to go more casual how about "Chill?" I am thinking prioritize as my olw. This has elements of focusing, organizing and not overreacting to little things (which I have been guilty of doing....true confession). I love reading everyone's ideas and I may find a better one, but I'll start with prioritize.
