After over a year of waiting.. Today I officially start re-running training. I got the double official official OK from my hematologist yesterday. I'm still clotted so I wanted to make sure that it was absolutely safe (I've been cleared for exercise for a while, but you know.. better safe than sorry- plus it's important that i keep them in the loop as to what I'm doing in general). I'll be going on the bike path with my 16 year old neighbor haha.. I don't want to do this alone JIC, not that she could do much to help
but the moral support will be good.
I've been working for the past few months strengthening my legs, using the stationary bike, doing bodyweight exercises & light weight work, jumping around on ce's mini trampoline (which is surprisingly effective
). My teenage neighbor does track at school, so she's a sprinter but has never run more than that. Hopefully she like.. stays with me and doesn't bolt off
It'll be good.
Today is just a test run.. To see how long we can go to start with. A month or so ago? I was with ce and jogged a bit just to see how comfortable it was and was able to go for a little bit so I want to do this first before breaking it down.
So hoorah. here's to hoping it is not 90, that the pollen does not kill me, and that my legs don't fall off.
