I'm the room parent for my son's Grade 2/3 class. I'm responsible for coming up with a winter craft for their year end party. It can't be Christmas related as not all the kids celebrate Christmas.

I know you ladies are all so crafty - do you have any good ideas?

    Thanks!

I've done a pasta snowflake craft with that age group and it turned out very well. You can use different types of pasta and paint/glitter to finish. Somewhere, I also have a printed template which you overlay with wax paper for the kids to follow just in case some have trouble coming up with a design.

What a great idea Laura! Unfortunately the kid only have about 30 minutes to complete their craft so they wouldn't have time to paint and glitter.

If you let them glue the pasta together with glitter glue, they will still be sparkly. Just a thought. :)

Ooh, great ideas! I'm in charge of a craft for my son's party, too. We're probably going to make beaded candy cane and wreath ornaments, but I love both the pasta and popsicle stick snowflakes!!
