Hi Everyone and Happy DYD!
One of my kids favourite holiday activities is making and decorating gingerbread shapes. Today we're going to personalise a scrappy gingerbread person using a template generously provided by @Scrapping with Liz - I've grabbed it from one of her Christmas Mosaic Templates available in the store and she has kindly let me share it with you here.​

Right click and save the full size PNG below to your computer and your challenge is to decorate your gingerbread person any way you like!
Feel free to then include it on a layout but you are more than welcome to print it and make it hybrid style or just as a stand alone gingerbread element!


Need some decorating ideas?
You can make it look like a traditional cookie with candy and icing styles on brushes, or with scrappy elements like rick rack, buttons and washi. Maybe you could deck the gingerbread man with a bow of holly or a grass skirt if you have a tropical Christmas!
Or Polly Krista @norton94 had such a good idea! She said how about cutting a circle out of it's head to make a little gingerbread frame and pop a head shot in to make a personalised gingerbread photo-person! What a cute gift tag that would make! I thought I'd give that a go myself, so this is my son from many years ago now, as a gingerbread person with a ribbon scarf and gift sticker, all from Designed by Soco's Merry Memories kit


And here's my example gingerbread person on a layout - I kept the gingerbread person simple, using brads/enamel dots for eyes and a bow with an ornament sticker around his neck and a candy cane accessory, and then fastened him to the page with a wordstrip - Designed by Soco's Merry Memories had a great krafty coloured, slightly gritty and mottled solid that I clipped to the gingerbread template to give him an authentic, baked texture!
