The Lilypad has so many amazing alphas, this challenge will be super easy and fun. This week's summer school instruction is all about monograms or alphas used to create visual interest on your page... alpha as focal point. Try something new and different from how you typically use an alpha. Stretch your boundaries and explore other techniques or ideas. Get creative. Use dimension, texture, size or placement to add a jolt of interest to your page or hybrid project. Be funky and fresh. Have fun with it.

    Challenge Requirements:
    • You must use a Lilypad alpha to create a focal point and visual interest on a new scrap page.
    • Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product.
    • Post your layouts in the Lilypad Gallery and leave a link here.

This challenge ends on Sunday, August 7th at 11:59pm ET. One person will win a $5 Lilypad gift card!

I'm not happy with this page so I might do another one. It was more about trying techniques I haven't done before.
I wanted to get something doe since I was too busy last week.

I created an ATC for this week's Summer School Challenge. I used an alpha from Kristin Aagard's kit, Now Playing, and covered it with photos.

Here is my layout, I used Dawn Inskip's free alphas for the challenge. I played with the shadows, stitched them down, stapled them and used the letter o as a photo spot.

I love alphas! Thanks for this challenge! I enlarged Dawn's stamped alpha, copied and blended one layer, and lowered the transparency on the regular layer to get a different effect.
