What's for Dinner?

What's Costco chicken?
Food court?
Costco sells roasted chickens for $5. They are really big-a loss leader I'm sure. They are in the back of the store in the meat department. The grandkids like them too so they could work well for you temporary tribe.

Ok. I've bought those before - love then with a loaf of fresh French bread!

Also at Costco are the seasoned pork tenderloins (properly too peppery for the picky ones), but your might like them. It is a big tray so I freeze them in batches for us. Easy to thaw and cook under the broiler. Yesterday I cooked a bunch, so we had them last night with leftover mac & cheese (using Julie's recipe here). Tonight we finished them off with pan-fried potatoes and fresh green beans.

A few years back, I liked to make these. They're broccoli bites and they are delicious! Super easy and totally kid-approved in most households. You could give them a try. They're chock full of healthy broccoli, but they don't taste like "healthy". That might be because I used more cheese then the recipe says, because cheese makes everything better. :)

or raw (like she'll eat raw carrots but not cooked).
That was soooo me as a kid. And I still don't like cooked carrots. They are too sweet and weird.

but from tv, i know that isn't what 'pizza' mean to everyone on the otherside of the world).
Hah. I'm not Italian but I agree on the not-pizza statement. When I went to Rome I ate real pizza and it wasn't like anything I've had anywhere. So good!

Last night I made Thai peanut chicken.. with lots of stir fry veggies, chicken, homemade sauce made of coconut milk, curry paste, sesame oil, peanutbutter and than real peanuts on top served with sticky rice
