I have a Canon G11( I have no idea why Amazon has it such a crazy price. I only gave $450 plus s&h) that I would be glad to sell you. It is a fabulous point and shoot and you can even use it manual mode, which is why I bought it, but I never use it. I bought it last year and just found that I always reach for my DSLR. I bought it when I started my P365 and I never stuck with that so it has been sitting waiting for someone to love it and use it :). I would gladly sell it for $375 with shipping and everything included. It's still in the original box with all the original papers etc..

ETA: Never mind, I just sold it.

I just recently bought a Canon Powershot D10 It's MADE to take a dip in the ocean! I love it but really, it's still new but so far, so good!

Sounds like a great deal Amanda!

I have a Nikon Coolpix S8100 - I got it for the 10x optical zoom. It's a nice little point and shoot and fits into my jeans pocket or into my little purse when I need something a little more inconspicuous than my DSLR!

I have had two Canon Powershots and have not been happy with either of them. The zoom is terrible and unless you have the perfect lighting conditions, the pictures are not good. But at least it does fit in my purse. My latest is the SD990, not sure why the price is so high. I only paid around 300 a couple years ago.

My FIL has a Lumix which he seems to really enjoy and the pictures are good. He is professional photographer so I trust his opinion. I think he has this one.

I have an old Canon Powershot that my 5 year old uses now b/c I usually drag out my DSLR. I have been thinking this summer though that it would be nice to have a better quality point & shoot. The little Canon is okay if the lighting is good but otherwise it doesn't expose well not to mention everyone always ends up with red eyes which drives me crazy.

I have a Panasonic Lumix something or other. It's my only camera at the moment and it does the job! I get frustrated that I can't easily control the depth of field (it has various scene settings but doesn't reliably focus on the thing I actually want in focus) and it's not as wide as I would like, but it takes a great picture outdoors and is so easy to carry about - it fits in the pocket of my jeans. :)

I have a Canon Powershot SD1100IS It's old, but I still love it. It's not the same as my DSLR, so they pictures aren't jump-up-and-down fantastic, but they are pretty good. I use them to scrap with, so they are good enough for that. I also bought a waterproof housing for it so I can take it to the beach and on our canoe trip and to the waterparks in the summer so I LOVE it for that. Outside pictures are really good with it. Sometimes the indoors pictures are a bit grainy, but only when it's really dark. My Mother-in-law bought the newer version of it (the SD1300IS) at Christmas and she loves hers too. I think they are up to the 1400 version now.

yup - that's exactly why i even have a P&S. my nikon just gets too cumbersome when i'm dragging the kids around everywhere... not to mention it hangs at just the right level that i inevitably bonk at least one child in the head while we're out and about! lol.
