What makes a LO a "Watched LO"?

Is it when you comment that it becomes a Watched LO or is it when you "like" the LO?
I don't want every LO I comment to be "watched". I only want my favorites I guess to be watched?
Also- how do you get a LO to be a "favorite"? Or maybe I'm just confused and all LO's that are "liked" your favorites. Am I making any sense? I think I just confused myself.

Go into your "preferences" (not "alert preferences") and you can see options for watching things. I have it set not to watch anything unless I specifically click on the "watch media" or "watch thread" for that thing.

Anything you previously had as a favorite is now "watched" and you can keep using watched media to keep track of favorites if you turn off all those auto watch preferences.
