Weekend

I am having the best weekend ever. It was my birthday yesterday but a friend took me to high tea on Friday and we sauntered through antique (the stuff from my childhood) stores and finished the evening with wine.:wine Yesterday we went to my granddaughters volleyball game. My 9 year old grandson ran out of the bleachers to give a birthday hug. :glompAbout 5 minutes later, my 12 year old, granddaughter, who was warming up with her team, spotted me in the crowd, ran up the bleachers and also gave me a hug. I am just so blessed to have these warm-hearted children in my life. The icing on the cake was receiving a gallery standout last night! What a birthday...:perfect

And I did laundry.

I also did laundry - a dark and light load.
Saturday was DS's 21st party and the house was filled with 40 friends and family. He said thanks Mom and Dad and then happily left us to clean up everything again and out the house to rights. Today has been church and quiet, catching some Zzz's and the laundry. I am glad that it's all behind us now. We have a proposal to look forward to sometime and a family friend's wedding in April.

Well my weekend is over now. It was as crazy and frustrating as expected. The kids are just going through temperamental stages at the same time it would seem.
Now it is Monday and I woke up with a plan to have a calm day, no yelling, no getting angry with each other. But I'm not going to be doing much of anything because while I was getting things from the fridge for Melody's lunch, I tweaked my back.
I just love looking at my ceiling with a fly buzzing around my foot.

Well, we WERE having a nice weekend. Just ran errands and had a doctor appointment on Friday. Had a nice quiet day on Saturday. Planned on going to Church on Sunday. But Saturday night changed our plans big time. We had to call 911 to get the paramedics to come to our house and as a result had an ambulance ride to the hospital for my Honey. Spent about 6 hours or so in ER doing blood work, xrays, EKGs. And then they came in and said we could go home. This was our second ER visit in 10 days for him. Does this count as an exciting weekend????? :happydance2:imok:fairydance And this is how I feel about the doctors who say....we can't see anything wrong with your heart. Everything says you are okay. But do go get that nuclear stress test in the NEXT 3 OR 4 DAYS! And don't do anything strenuous until you get that test done. :sense Are they just not telling us something or what? My Honey is going to work in the morning. Sigh..... But said he would come right home if things acted up again. He had open heart surgery 23 years ago come April. So we can't totally rule out his heart without that stress test.

And all of this started just as Liz's MIS chat event was starting. I was sitting at my computer ready to start when he came in and said he was having problems. What can I say? He is more important to me than scrapping and I didn't get to do the MIS. But that's okay. There is always next month, right? :woot:yup

Well, sadly the weekend is already over, but it was a good one. My boys had a middle school dance on Friday night, so we dropped them off and went out to dinner. Picked them up and had our friends come over to play euchre. Then Saturday we had a blissful day at home. I worked on getting an old PC of mine loaded with Windows again (my boys were using it for a Minecraft server and had Linux on it). I art journaled some and then we went to friends for dinner and more euchre. Sunday was church and then nothing! Sigh. I wish it wasn't over. :giggle

Oh goodness! That is WAY too much excitement for a weekend. I sure hope they are right and that it's nothing serious. So scary to be worried about heart problems though. My Dad has a bad heart (enlarged and arrhythmia) and has had several trips to the ER where they send him home saying he's fine too. It's so frustrating when you just want a definite answer and a solution.
