I noticed during MOC that a lot of my web images were coming out dark. I'm still not exactly sure what is going wrong, but I think it is something in the save for web action at the export is causing it. I guess I have to "re-do" that part. It seems fine up until setting the opacity on the linear light layer. It's kind of hard to tell when I try to play through each step of the action to track down the issue. I think the action I'm using is based on Cheryl's, but I've changed the size to 700px.

It's been a while since I created or edited actions, I guess I have to dust off that skill.

I hate when things break! Could you turn off the opacity and see if it still ends up dark? Maybe that would help since it's hard to tell while you are stepping through it?

Did you erase and then re-install the action?

That’s an idea. Will definitely try this before trying to edit the action

I still am unsure what the issue was, but I re-pulled the one I had from Cheryl. It is working again -- even made my additional tweaks to duplicate the file at the beginning and export it at the end.

Although, when it runs the export for web at the end, it doesn't always adhere to the file size restriction. I might grab the paislee one too, just for comparison.

@elseepe I would grab the action from Paislee Press. It's been updated recently and is great. Mine is so old now and it's on the bottom of a long list of things to do.

I missed this. Thank you so much! I wrote my own actions to also resize to all of those plus 1000 px, but I think I like this one better!

I just leave it at whatever the default is. :giggle I'll have to look next time I use it and come back and post. The first time that pop up came up, I was like... um, I don't know. :giggle

Me too, but I might need to lower it a bit next time as there was a little "ghosting" around my text on my last layout I ran through this one. I do like this Paislee Press action

I finally remembered to check for you... The default I've been using is Amount: 400%, Radius: 0.2 pixels and Threshold: 0 levels. I have no idea what any of them do though. :giggle
