There have been 4 homicides since Friday in the area I live. A stabbing of a young mom by her ex-boyfriend in a town of 25,000 Friday and 3 homicides early this AM outside of a bar (that is 1/4 mile away from our house) in a town of 325. In both cases one young girl was 'stirring the pot'. Though she wasn't physically involved in the stabbing or shooting, she certainly persuaded both of events to happen. Her boyfriend is the one that stabbed the young lady and her brother is the one that killed three innocent people (because he over heard them talking about his sister … who had made really terrible comments on FB about the stabbing - stating the girl "deserved it" and she was happy it happened!) I can't comprehend how someone can even think that much less state it for everyone to see! S M H . My husband works with the step-father of the young lady that was stabbed and one of the shooting victims was my girlfriend's son in law. My heart is breaking for their families (and the others). So very senseless. I guess no matter the size of your community, things like this can happen.
That is absolutely heartbreaking. I'm so sorry that you've been touched by this tragedy and that such senseless violence continues to happen in our world.
Jill, I am sorry to read of these tragedies... my heart goes out to those who have lost loved ones. It is incidents like this that cause my dislike of Facebook.
How awful! It's just so sad and I agree with Anne-Marie @A-M about FB. I'm so glad I finally got off of that.

This is awful Judy... so very sorry for your community and while FB is wonderful for meeting old friends and keeping up with family, I think it is a detriment really. Too many crimes are happening all over for these people who want their 15 minutes of fame not by doing something good, but by shouting their mouth off.. So very sad. May your community heal, and I am so sorry that is also has touched your family knowing some of the victims... ugh.. Prayers for the families of the victims.
Oh how awful!! And for such a small community it would really shake everyone!! I hope things can turn around.. so so sad.
