This is the 5th year of the MOC, and very historic to me.

There are so many new people, I wanted to bring up an old blog post, that may give a better understanding of what being a Polly really is like.

Read about the conception of the Pad and the coveted Polly spot:
The Story of the-Lily Pad and the Pollys
Although I "won" a coveted guest spot that first year, the MOC is not a competition. It is different, as many of you now on the 5th day can attest too. Encouragement and inspiration is the heart of it, and you are right in the midst of marvelous.
Today, I wanted to add, that not everyone can win to become a Polly, because then the harmony of the Pad would not exist. There are many who are pillars of this great community, and their stories and heart complete this little digital world. They are not "chosen", but so very special to this Pad. There is a complete little world here, and without them, it would be a barren place. I am so grateful to the friends here that my heart overflows. :bkTo my amazement, a scrapper can post their very first "hello" thread here, and withing minutes they are family. I tell ya, if you are wavering on a place to scrap and laugh, waver no more, you have found your home.

I love that everyone bears each other's burdens, offers an understanding shoulder and builds one another up.

I have tried to become involved with other digital scrapbooking sites but this is the only one that I feel connected to. I don't post much, but when I do, I always feel appreciated!!

Aww so very well said Anne!! Although I'm not much of a forum person...this is the place to be, people do not judge you and they are always nice and around to chit chat...for me the MOC isn't a competition, it's something...well it takes me out of my comfort zone...ohh well you know what I mean right hahahaha

adorable story Anne! It truly shows your love for the pad! You were the first one who helped me when I first arrived here just about one year ago....your joy and enthusiasm showed right then. It also helped me to feel comfortable here.

That was so well said, Anne!! Such a lovely story :heartlub
I am still a relatively new Polly (still pinching myself) and I truly love this place and everyone here. No where else have I felt such a wonderful sense of community. Everyone here makes this place what it is! The support and caring is amazing. It was probably right after the first MOC I participated in that I really just wanted to stay here, to hang out here, and to spend time with the wonderful people here. :heartlub
