when you pick up your camera and see broken glass. I knew I had dropped the camera but did not realize it had cracked. Fortunately, it is just the filter. The lens appears to be okay and I have ordered a new filter.
Ohhh did your heart just stop there for a moment? That's the best thing about a filter - it's much easier to replace than a lens!
EEEEK!! I sorta know that feeling. I got something stuck on the mirror inside so now my photos have a grey splotch on them. I have to take it in and have them professionally clean them.
whew! I was shooting some client product shots a few months ago and accidentally tripped over a cord to the strobe and knocked my tripod over (with camera on it). My heart definitely stopped for a second. The camera had a tiny dent but everything else was fine. So, yes, I sure know that fearful feeling!
When I used to have a DSLR and this happened once to me too - I swear my heart stopped a beat!!! Glad it was just the filter!
OH my gosh! Yikes! So glad it was just the filter and that everything else is okay. That is a heart-stopper for sure!
Did you check your lens to make sure it's still working? I dropped my DSLR once, lens looked okay, but it wouldn't auto-focus. Ended up replacing the lens vs. getting it fixed b/c the cost was about the same.
