    Hi!

Welcome to this month's technique scrap =) This month, we have been discussing a variety of techniques to use the brush tool: HERE is the thread

    *********************************
Please post your completed layout in The Lilypad gallery. GALLERY RULES: Layouts must contain at least 50% TLP products. (Templates count as 15%.) Uploads must be less than 250k. List all credits; no off-site linking allowed.

You have 24 hours to complete your LOs....they are due March 28 at 12pm Eastern

    **********************************

    INSTRUCTIONS
    1. Create a new Layout
    2. Add a SQUARE. This square should be filled with a photo
    3. On a NEW layer: using the BRUSH tool, create a SCALLOPED BORDER around the square. (I used a 100px hard round brush, spacing at 90%) - Clip a solid color PAPER and add a DROP SHADOW to make it look like you've added a paper mat
NOTE: this layer should go UNDER the photo layer
*TIP: if you start at one corner and hold the shift key and then click on the next corner, you'll get a straight line
    4. Add a TAG or JOURNAL CARD
    5. On the SAME layer as the TAG/JC: using the BRUSH tool, add a STAMP on the TAG/JC...it can go over a bit onto the background, if you'd like, to add definition. (I set my brush to DISSOLVE mode)
    6. On a NEW layer: using the BRUSH tool, create some CONFETTI (I used a small butterfly brush, and set my spacing to 100, scatter to 1000% and added a drop shadow)
    7. Add anything else to make the LO one you LOVE!

I can't wait to see your take on today's challenge!

Thanks for the push to use brushes. I neglect them. I'm especially proud of my confetti. I didn't have the gumption to find the lessons I'd missed this month but using your slow scrap directions as a starting point and just clicking on various settings in the Brushes menus, I was impressed that I can make my own confetti!

I'm less happy with my splatter. If I find the lesson post will it tell me how to make it look good over the shadowed edge of my journal card? Also I was confused by the direction to make the splatter on the same layer as the card because then it was taking on the shadow style of the card. So I made the splatter on its own layer.
