Every once in a while I buy napkins at Target and they are packaged with a buttoned band - one band per two napkins so I usually end up with 2 bands. Now while these bands do make the set look good, I never can think of what to do with them later. I store my napkins folded and flat.

Anyone find a use for them?

I have some, but have no idea what to do with them, either. I just can't throw away fabric! Hopefully someone will!

I have the same problem when I buy sheet sets or comforters from Target or Anthropologie and they come packaged in pretty matching fabric bags! I don't use the bags for storage (because honestly I can never fold the sheets back up to fit inside the bag again!), but I can't just throw them away, either!

If you have a vase of a similar circumference, perhaps you could wrap the fabric around the vase for a little decoration?

or a tall plain pillar candle (I don't light ours that are on the table)

I have a stash of those bands and the bags Melissa is talking about from sheets too - I do use those though, for dd's smaller linens when she goes to camp, since the bag can be washed too when it comes home full of sand!

You could sew them together and use the button holes to hang them on a wall. Hang keys from the buttons????? Or something fun like that????

Curtain tie-backs?
Guest Towel wraps?

shoe bags.

Those bags are not big enough for adult shoes though they could be useful if you're traveling with children.

I think recycling may be the best idea for me. The Girl Scouts often get things like this via my recycling woman, a queen of finding a home for things.

Or maybe you can cut a chunk out of the middle, run a seam down it and turn it into a really cute wrist cuff with some embroidery and decoration. :)

I love the idea of wrapping it around a vase or candle. I'd tuck a bit of greenery in it if I put it on a candle. If you put two of them together, could you wrap them around a couple of antique books as part of a decorating vignette?

These are great for washing delicates like lingerie and bras or packing jewelry for vacation. The bands though. Hmmm.

LOL We don't have curtains. I think these bands will just go in the recycling box and maybe the Girl Scouts will be able to use them!

I'm not sure how big they are in length... but you could button two together, and wrap around a pillow to change out plain pillow decorations?

I was going to say how many do you have and do they all match? You could stitch them all together to make a pillow or table runner? sewing them together to make a cute bag?

Oh, Barbara! LOL! (Yay for your siggy!) Great idea.... they are from napkins, so a table runner would be a perfect accent!
@Sokee

I had two but am down to one and don't plan to save any other ones I may end up with myself. Maybe The Other One will resurface...but if it does, it goes too.

I simply throw them away! I'm not a bit crafty (except digi scrapbooking) so anything that I would need to sew or use a hot glue gun with is just going to be thrown away! I admire those of you who do something with them. :)
