Are your kids doing any summer camps, vacation Bible school, etc?

Tomorrow starts our big camp week around here. Sebastian has gymnastics camp all week from 8:30-3:00 every day. Isaac has week 2 of orchestra camp, so he can learn to play his violin that he just got last week. And Meagan is doing horseback riding camp this week M-F from 9:00-2:30 (this was a birthday gift for her). So, other than super busy mornings rushing to get Sebastian there at 8:30, Meagan there at 9:00, and Isaac at 9:30, I should have a pretty quiet week. :stash

We did vacation bible school x 2 last week (am & pm for both kids & I worked at the pm one at our church), tomorrow dd leaves for 5 days of camp ( she has been spazzing out all weekend), and the next week ds has swimming lessons.

My boys are going to visit their cousins for a week and all go to an art camp together! They should have a lot of fun. Meanwhile, my DH and I get a week off from the kids! We plan on doing a bunch of cleaning projects around the house and purge a lot of what we don't need anymore.

i always love the week with relatives! it's SOOOO quiet, and I"m WAY more productive than normal! Enjoy your quiet time!

Ty will have a week long Karate course at some point during our summer holidays here in the UK

Dates have not been confirmed yet, normally its for 2 hours a day for a week, and he is really looking forward to going as they will have various competitions during the week too xx

My boys did a basketball camp at their school last week M-W from 9-12 and then this week we have evening VBS that I am working as well. Starting next week, we will do swim lessons, but that about wraps up our summer commitments--which I am not too sad about :)

We decided to put this kids in Day Camp out at the Y this year. They are having a blast and my house has never been cleaner during the Summer months :giggle

Nick spends one week at Boy Scout summer camp each year and when he gets back we basically want to burn all the clothes he wore. But they have so much fun and he gets to work on 4+ merit badges each year there and have a week of total "man time" so we're always happy to pay for him to go.

My boys are doing a Soccer Camp the second week of July and a hockey camp run by our local OHL in August. They are super excited about this one since they will get to be on the ice with some of their favorite players. They may also be doing a Power Skating session but not too sure if it will work out. Hockey season will be just around the corner. ;)

Summer is always full of CAMPS!!! My 10 yr. old has volleyball camp today thru Thursday - just 1 1/2 hrs. a day. Then we have a week or two off and she will start Dive camp. my 10 yr. old and 8 yr. old are doing a Horse camp in August, where they will do overnight camp and ride and take care of horses. My youngest will just be doing VBS and guitar lessons this summer. And we always try to squeeze in tennis and swimming lessons that are offered free at our summer resort!

Last but not least our family is volunteering at a camp called Starlite Shores Family Camp, and we will be paired up with a family that is living through childhood cancer in their family and we will take care of them all week with different activities and rest for them! We are so excited and nervous for this experience!

I'm working over the summer, so our boys have quite a few camps. Starting second week of July, one has Soccer camp and the other has Basketball camp. Then my youngest (who never runs out of energy) is doing 2 weeks of flag football/conditioning camps, 2 weeks of conditioning + multi-sport camps, and 2 weeks at our local Christian camp -- rock climbing, zipline, water craft, bouncy castles for the younger ones, archery, you name it! My oldest is doing a gymnastics week, an outdoor wilderness adventure week, one of the multi-sport camps, and 2 weeks at the Christian camp. Plus he is doing Parkour (I think it is called Free-running down in the States) on Wed + Fri nights throughout July. It's going to be a busy but very fun summer for the kids this year. And I can work in peace! ;)

We're all going to a week-long family camp -- we get to do all kinds of activities while my husband is taking his Wood Badge Level 2 training for Scout leaders.

Busy busy busy!

What a wonderful serving opportunity, and the whole family gets to be involved. Sounds like it will be a good learning experience and will feel so rewarding.

Camden went to church camp (sunday - friday) last week. Our church isn't having VBS this year, so I'm thinking of finding one nearby. That's pretty much it. I'm thinking that next year I'm going to do some research and find something for both of them!

My daughter started swim lessons today but no camps this season. We kept trying to sign her up for a tennis camp in a nearby city but their online registration system had so many steps I just gave up. If her Dad wants her to go so bad, he can sign her up in the city she's taking swim lessons in. It's closer and we're set up with their online registration already. We've got VBS set for next week too. My plan was, if she loves swimming and does well I'll sign her up for another 2 weeks in the next level class. We'll see. She did great today!

My boys just started VBS this morning. They have it from 9-noon every morning this week. Then my oldest is going to an away from home camp for a whole week this year in July. He's VERY excited. Little brother isn't old enough, so he is NOT happy! poor kiddo. :(

My boys usually go to camp at the Y during the summer for the 9 weeks they are off - as DH and I work.... but this year they will only go for two weeks. DH's mom is coming to stay with us this summer and will watch the boys most of it - about 6 weeks total. Camp is super expensive here, so her coming really saves us almost $7500. We have pool passes and can go to my parent's shore house too... so I'm looking forward to poplin' and shorin' it all summer!

They usually do some sort of sports camp but not this year. We are going to be gone for 2.5 weeks to Florida and most of the camps ran during that time.

Derek is finishing up swim lessons and the other two boys just finished or are finishing up with their spring sports season. We needed a few weeks down time before vacation!!! As soon as we get back baseball and travel soccer starts up again!!

This week started Luke's swimming lessons (two weeks) and summer orchestra (two weeks & then another two in July). He's doing Apple Camp at the Apple Store in July, as well as church camp. I think I'll send him to VBS somewhere. Our church does it every other year & this is an off year. And I can't forget Camp Grandma for a week in July!! :) He was going to do Digital Photography Camp next week, but it was cancelled due to lack of interest. Bummer!
