Hello! Welcome to 2019 and our first speed scrap!

To start out, let's make it clear that this scrap will tie in with my MOC challenge for today (HERE), but you do not have to be participating in MOC to play along.

Shall we get started?

Please post your completed layout in The Lilypad gallery. GALLERY RULES: Layouts must contain at least 75% TLP products (PLEASE NOTE THAT THE 75% RULE IS SPECIFIC TO MOC). (Templates count as 15%.) Uploads must be less than 250k. List all credits; no off-site linking allowed.

If you're playing along with the MOC, then you'll have read that my challenge for today requires a NEW photo. The bonus for scrapping the speed scrap is that you DO NOT need a new photo, and I'll even share a few examples you are more than welcome to use HERE.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. start with a plain white background (either white paper or just plain blank white) and plan for a LARGE photo. The point of today's scrap is the photo.

2. Add 2 vertical, overlapping, layered strips of paper to the left half of the page...your strips can be as wide, or as thin as you want, but should touch the top and bottom edges. Feel free to make your layered papers in any shape you want....scalloped or ripped or whatever you want.

3. Add 1 LARGE photo that shows shallow DOF on top of the paper strips...my photo also touches the top and bottom edges, but yours doesn't have to, but it must be BIG. I consider BIG to be at least 4 inches on the shortest side. Feel free to add more than 1 photo, but your main photo MUST be 4 inches on the shortest edge and MUST show shallow DOF. Feel free to add a stroke, mat, or a frame to the photo.

4. Near the bottom of the photo, on the right hand side, you'll add the following that should overlap your photo in some way:
  • the title
  • date tag
  • small cluster of elements (at least 3 different items)
5. Go back to the background and add a bit of paint or gesso or a coffee stain anywhere on the page.

6. Add anything else you like to make a LO you love.

YOU HAVE 1 HOUR TO COMPLETE YOUR LO....DUE JAN 2, 1PM EASTERN TIME

Jumping in... I know I'm late, but my grandbaby had other ideas besides napping, lol!

Here's my page! Thanks for the fun chat and instructions, Farrah!

The cluster includes: Scatter, brad, & flower sticker in addition to the required date tag and title.
