Spam me with your favorite family casseroles or hot dishes! I am always looking for new and creative favorites for the kids and man for dinners! We tend to eat the same things a lot!
I haven’t tried this yet but this looks like it could be very tasty https://www.thehealthydiary.co/main-meals/pumpkinlasagna I have however tried this a few weeks ago but with diced chicken as that’s what I had on hand. Next time though I’d swap the slaw mix in the recipe for chunkier stir fry vegetables (the veggies got a bit lost under the noodles) http://www.slimmingeats.com/blog/hoisin-pork-and-noodles
https://www.johnsonville.com/recipe/sausage-basil-baked-ziti.html my family LOVES this one! It's absolutely rare for me to cook something that all 4 of us will enjoy. This one wins every time.
This simple dish is a favorite for my kids. Even with the spinach. I don't add the red peppers in my dish. https://www.fatsecret.com/recipes/cheesy-beef-bake/Default.aspx
I assume a hot dish is a casserole. it is to me. LOL. I haven't seen anyone use the term hot dish in a long time. We said hot dish all the time until we started moving south. hahah
*L* hot dish is another name for a casserole depending on where you live. I say casserole sometimes and people look at me crazy.. so basically same thing
a tasty casserole make a puree of broccoli and some potatoes and put this in an oven dish at the bottom cut a red onion into half moons, chop a clove of garlic - simmer together Add minced veal or chicken and fry with the onion and garlic meanwhile cut the leek into rings and add to the pan with the minced meat and onion and continue to simmer - finally add some frozen peas Then pour the mixture on broccoli puree. Finish with some gratin cheese and bake in the oven. Can be prepared perfectly in advance
Not a hot dish, but literally takes minutes to prepare and cook! If you like fish . . . https://www.peoniesandpears.com/blog/tomato-braised-cod-fillets
This recipe!! Except for the sauce from scratch I just use a store bought jar & instead of the heavy cream I add that amount of milk I have on hand, add it to the empty jar, shake to get the rest of the sauce mixed with the milk and add that to my dish. I have substituted tomatoes for roasted peppers Also have eliminated the bacon at times. Also 1/4 t of cayenne pepper if you like a kick https://pin.it/2YBDw0X
I am going to give you a whole website. I love her recipes and use them often. They are healthy and they taste good. My family eats them, not knowing they are eating a lower calorie option. https://www.skinnytaste.com/
This is my favorite place too. I just bought her endorsed Air Fryer and used it for the first time last night.
She has a whole cookbook of healthy air fryer recipes. It's going on my Christmas list. In meantime, I'm going to print a few out and give it a try!
air fried chick peas are my newest favorite snack... but looking for other healthly things to fry too
I group up eating hamburger rice hot dish. It's very similar to this: https://www.food.com/recipe/oriental-hamburger-rice-hot-dish-287467 My family loves it...I'm not a huge fan so I'll make it whenever I'm gone.
