Soooooo excited!!!!!!

So I'm a super huge fan of the Olympic Winter Games and this probably due to the fact that I was a figure skater for 12 years of my life and used to dream of Olympic Gold glory! lol! For those of you who doesn't know the games are being held in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada. Tomorrow, the torch relay is making it's way in my home town and I'm sooo freakin' excited. My mom and I both are! lol! We're like giddy school girls. I think it will be such a cool once in a lifetime opportunity (and photo op ;) to experience! But the even cooler part is that GM (General Motors Canada) is sponsoring the Torch Relay's vehicles and well my wonderful husband just happens to work as an auto mechanic for the GM dealer here and his boss has asked him to be at work for five hours and work on one of the vehicle and hang out with the crew... but even cooler than that, the family of the employees at the dealership get to do a meet and greet and have photos and stuff done! This is sooooo freakin' cool... pardon my excitement if I'm boring you... lol! I just had to share this awesome experience we'll get to have. Adrien thinks that it's cool that he'll get to be part of it and he'll actually have to fix one of the vehicles... anyhow, thanks for letting me share. I'll be sure to post pics! :) Woohoo!

That's awesome Renee.. the torch relay came through here a couple weeks ago. It was an amazing experience for sure. It shut the one side of the city down. My dd attended ( I had to work) and said it was amazing. Have fun, and remember charge those batteries cuz we're all waiting to see the photos from your new baby. :)

How cool, Renee! I remember when I was a kid (maybe 7 or 8??) we drove to a spot to watch the torch runner heading towards the Los Angeles Olympics. I was just a kid but I remember it so vividly!! Can't wait to see your pics :)

oh, Renee!!!! that sounds so awesome, I am always freakishly excited about the Olympics, but not for any cool reason like being a figure skater!! :)

How cool! I remember when the torch passed through my town when we had the olympics in 94, it was really cool. And I am so glad someone else is excited about the olympics! Not so much figure skating for me though - nordic skiing and biathlon are more my thing. I'm watching tour de ski this week, and I can't wait for the olympics!
