IDK how exactly it works, because it's my first year. But, apparently, they schedule 10 days for Spring Break. And if they have to call snow days, they take from the first week. This year, two of them were used for starting school late at the beginning of the year. Going forward, they are planning 5 days for Spring Break, and virtual snow days. So I'll have to see the calendar when it's released to see where the other 5 days off went.My school district is still going with the 5 snow days allotted by the state but will use the virtual option once they have used those so in essence kids can still get 5 days off during the school year.
That's annoying! Like, why aren't the first 5 free? And yeah, it sucks to have the end of the year extended. The way ours has always worked is that we make up the first five, and then it's the next 5 that are "free" and don't have to be made up...then it starts over. Usually some of the first five are built in, like they'll take MLK, Jr Day, Presidents Day, etc. and maybe a couple on the end of the year. But, there have been many of times that we go over the 10 and after that they all go on the end of the year.
It sounds just like pizza!
I'm sure households where multiple drivers share a car just love that.
