I hope I did this right, looking at the others I don't feel it it. However, this is how I feel about Winter - my daughters expression and holding her sunglasses expresses it very clearly.
Here's mine. i went all out with some Rebecca McMeen paint I just added to my stash. Thanks again for hosting Jess! I love all the different pages.
So happy to know the challenge is open even if you can't make the chat. I always plan to join the chats, and always seem to forget/get sidetracked. This was so much fun - it came together pretty easily, as usual the biggest time suck was picking words and fonts :-D I think I have everything covered - there's a total of 7 paint bits, some are tucked behind the heart up at the top and aren't as visible as the rest (I can break it down if you need). The stitches aren't real visible, either - the dark bit on top of the word strip.
The softer pinks and mauves are reflective of a non-romantic, but maternal love, for my daughters - the lilies being a Valentines gift for me. I've been struggling to think of one word to describe the emotion, but I was overwhelmed with their thoughtfulness in expressing their love for me on this day with my favourite flower.
