Today we're going to make a page expressing an emotion. Please post in gallery & here by 3:00pm PST/6:00pm EST on 02/14/2019. Step 1: Use a plain background paper, any color, can have texture but no pattern. Step 2: Use at least 3 different paints. Splatters, guesso, brushes, etc. Step 3: Your page must have a heart somewhere, more than one heart is ok. Step 4: Use one piece of wordart. Word strip is ok. Step 5: Stitches! As many as you want! Step 6: Use a photo or don't. It's up to you. Step 7: Add anything you want to express your emotion. Have fun my friends! Happy creating! Please post your completed layout in The Lilypad gallery. GALLERY RULES: Layouts must contain at least 50% TLP products. (Templates count as 15%.) Uploads must be less than 250k. List all credits; no off-site linking allowed.
My stitching are tiny purple stitches on the pink paper heart. The "I love you" is part of the pink paint and heart element.
Hope you can feel my cheerful mood, 5 paint colours but 1 blender brush, plus as my step 7 a paint splat from a kit, Thanks for the challenge.
Totally in awe over a rare snow episode that has kept us house-bound for nearly a week. Although it is inconvenient, it is so beautiful, and has given me loads of time to make digital art. Love the sense of peace a scene like this gives.
This was a lot of fun Jessica and truly got me into a better mood. Lots of frustration with dh's current health issues and also with him! lol
Sorry I missed the chat but happy I was able to play along with the slow scrap... Solid BG: Brave New World - Amber LaBau. Paint: It's About Time Today - TLP Collab. Thistle (2) - Rebecca McMeen. Heart: It's About Time Today - TLP Collab. Wordstrip: She is Fierce - Mommyish. Stitches: Are We There Yet? - Mommyish & Just Jaimee. Resolute Faces - Lynne-Marie.
Last night we had an insane snowfall. But, an early morning email from my boss said he was going to be in the office. Plus while we were shovelling, I noticed that the bus seemed to be running on time and our street always gets plowed early. So I went in. In the end, my hardcore eagle scout boss decided to stay home. 3 out of 20 people showed up. At 1:00 PM, I called it and left for the day. I was soooo happy when I got in the house. People were using snowshoes just to walk down the sidewalks, it truly was insane. The contrast of the warm and cool colours conveys the outside v. inside feeling, with my happy little heart brightest of all. The journalling is on a shield because home makes me feel safe.
Thanks for organising a slow scrap - even though I was at work during the chat I could participate tonight! Feeling determined. Bit ironical that I'm feeling determined to keep up running (requires getting up early) but am scrapping (requires me to stay up late). I'm off the bed!
