Welcome to September! Summer is almost over for most of us... I usually feel like Labor Day weekend, here in the States, as the end of Summer as all the kids go back to school and most people are done with vacations until the holidays. With a new month, that means new challenges here at the Lilypad. I am thrilled this month to host the Style Challenge! For the September Style Challenge, we are going to focus on quadrants. Divide your page into 4 equal quadrants (use line guides for ease) however you want. I do not need to see the dividing lines just that it is distinguishable when looking at your page. (If you are working with a rectangle workspace, you can use the same style of quadrants as noted here for a square.) The rules are simple: 1) 2 of your quadrants must be filled with elements and photos. 2) The other 2 quadrants can only have journaling and a title, or they can be blank. (No additional elements are allowed in these other 2 quadrants.) If you want to use a template that is fine, but remember 2 of the quadrants must be blank with the exception of journaling/title. Here is my page: [I am using the + style of quadrants. The collection I am using is "Bee My Honey" by A Whimsical Adventure. The small picture version of my page shows the turquoise guidelines and reflects how I have kept my elements inside the quadrants.] Now it's your turn!!!! Remember our monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the September Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges). I can't wait to see your page!!!
