Welcome to the September Inspiration Challenge! This month, we'll be taking inspiration from typography. Simple definitions of typography (according to the Dictionary app) include 1. the art or process of printing with type 2. the work of setting and arranging types and of printing them We will be focusing on the second definition and looking to experiment with arranging type in fun and eye catching ways. I gathered a few examples of interesting typography from Pinterest and I am sure you can find tons of examples in your own search. Here some that caught my eye: As I said, these are just a few examples of typography used in interesting ways to catch the eye. Take a look around the web and find inspiration for using typography in your layout. As this is an inspiration challenge, there are no hard and fast rules. You can mix alphas, experiment with varied sizes and colors of fonts, conform your text to a shape, use letters as clipping masks for photos - the options are endless. Here is my page Your challenge is to create a page inspired by interesting and eye catching typography. Can't wait to see what you come up with. Gentle Reminder: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product (eligible product can be current or retired product from resident designers, or guest designer product that is currently in the TLP store). Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the September Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread (please use the share BB IMG code found on the right side in the gallery). The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
